An easter egg hunt unlike any other
The château’s park becomes the playing field for budding investigators. Their mission? Answer the “History” and “Nature” riddles to win Easter treasures.

Her Majesty Queen Anne of Brittany leads the children through the castle where she married King Charles VIII.

Surprise guests at the château NEW
Jehanne de Kermeur and Maître Cocquempot go about their different activities in the château and draw visitors into their daily lives. Skits, improvisations and surprises are in store for visitors during their tour!

Wine and Châteaus day
The winemakers of Bourgueil set up their stalls in the château’s courtyard to let you discover and taste their best wines.

Castle life – recreation in the Renaissance
A hunting camp, presentation of falconry and demonstrations of crossbow shooting on the castle grounds, outfitting sessions, music and dancing in the château evoke the leisure time activities practiced at the dawn of the Renaissance.
Friday 22 and Saturday, May 22 and  23 from 10:30am to 6:30pm (in French)

 

Grand Banquet NEW
The château opens its doors for a banquet in one of its emblematic halls. This event is the occasion to discover, in the course of an evening, the culinary heritage from the dawn of the Renaissance (reservation required).

Falconry show
This show brings back to life the centuries old art of falconry. Following the demonstration, visitors have the chance to talk with the falconer and even meet those fascinating birds (in French).

To ensure the safety of animals, dogs are not allowed in the park on falconry show days.
The falconry show can be adapted according to the weather conditions (rain, heat wave…).
We advise you to present yourself at the reception of the castle at least 20 min before the start of the show (once the show started, there is no additional admission).

« Dancing in the Renaissance » – 500 years of Renaissances in Centre Val de Loire
Two rooms in the castle serve as a showcase for the music and dances of the Renaissance, putting them into an historical perspective with a presentation of old musical instruments

In the shoes of a prince or a princess
Children aged 7 to 12 years can discover the inside-outs of fashion in the Middle Ages thanks to a fun and participatory activity (in French).
