The tour continues in the park set out with fun and recreational amenities :
– Scaffolding and lifting machines : faithfully reconstituted behind the keep, they show the construction methods of builders in the year 1000. From the top of the scaffolding you can see the medieval inspired gardens.
– Playgrounds and, for the young and old alike, a 6-storey treehouse built in a majestic cedar several centuries old. The treehouse offers unobstructed views over the park and the ruins of the 11th century chapel. .
– Belvedere : the promenade, between cedars and sequoias, ends up at the belvedere with a telescope over the Loire, a cultural landscape today listed as world heritage by UNESCO. It lets you visualise to what extent the promontory of Langeais was a strategic site.
