Christmas in the Loire Valley Châteaux at Langeais
A magical, musical Christmas at Château de Langeais
From 28 November to 3 January
Treat yourself to a magical family outing at Château de Langeais this festive season!
Have you ever heard a castle sing? With Christmas in the Loire Valley Châteaux, this magic comes to life at Langeais in December 2026.
Once you have crossed the castle’s famous drawbridge, follow the voices and melodies. From room to room, Christmas carols come to life, bringing enchanting scenes to life: ethereal angel choirs, a magnificent banquet, an enchanted forest… Light, plants, textiles, paper and sound come together in an extraordinary composition that echoes the castle’s collections.
A family activity booklet, In Search of the Magic Flute, a show for young audiences, a special evening event and a creative workshop complete the visit.
Created by the Quart de Soupir Company, this immersive journey transforms the castle’s iconic rooms into a true musical voyage. In the Banquet Hall, a polyphonic Christmas celebration rings out like a grand musical feast; in the Wedding Hall, snow and light create a magical setting; the Lady’s Chamber becomes a garden of songs echoing the Millefleurs tapestry, while the Children’s Chamber celebrates Christmas traditions from around the world. In the Hall of the Worthies, visitors are invited to enjoy a more contemplative moment accompanied by celestial voices. The visit ends in the castle’s attic, exceptionally open to the public and transformed into an enchanted forest, where lights and melodies seem to suspend time.
